My family and I have visited this pub many times for meals over the years, and have always been very pleased with the food.
Not the case last night.
Service was very slow - only two waitresses. They only had 5 tables booked, weren't expecting it to be so busy on a Tuesday evening and they couldn't cope.
An hour and a half after we arrived, the main courses arrived. Glad we had filled up with bread and starters.
Most of our main meals were cold and sent back.
We couldn't be bothered to wait to have it recooked.
Most other tables nearby were complaining too.
We will not be returning.

4th time I have visited this delightful eatery.
One evening visit and three lunch visits, and in a couple of days time will be there at lunchtime again.
The olde worlde low door allows you into a place that has an immediate warming welcome.
The choice of food is on the blackboard and though not a massive choice it has something for everybody.
Always well served and at no time slow I have to say that I have always enjoyed my food.
So much so that my colleagues have suggested it for our Christmas special on a Saturday evening
